Station Overseer - Mutooroo Station 2023
The Mutooroo Pastoral Company operates sheep and cattle enterprises in South Australia, on
the border near Broken Hill. The company is seeking an overseer on Mutooroo Station, 100km
south-west of Broken Hill.
The station runs a flock of 15,000 Merino ewes along with an internal Poll Merino stud to
improve genetics and breed rams for Mutooroo and the other stations. The position is well
suited to applicants wishing to further their career, and requires skills in planning, delegation
and mentoring a team of up to five staff.
Applicant’s characteristics and skills should include:
· Positive attitude, self-motivation
· Team leadership along with planning, delegation and mentoring
· Good communication
· Sheep husbandry
· General station maintenance
· Along with experience in the operation of heavy machinery including front-end loaders
and graders R, MR, HR or HC license endorsements would be an advantage.
A tidy and comfortable on-property 2-3 bedroom cottage with an established garden and small
orchard is available to the successful applicant.
A competitive salary is offered and includes full board and keep, 24-hour power, and unlimited
satellite internet, along with flexible employment for a partner if required. The salary is paid via
EFT on a monthly basis.
Training is available to improve skills and provide appropriate accreditation.

The Mutooroo Pastoral Company is seeking an overseer for the jointly-run Lilydale/Manunda
Stations, located 140km north-east of Burra.
Applicant characteristics and skills should include
• Positive attitude, self-motivation
• Team leadership
• Good communication
• Sheep husbandry;
• General station maintenance;
• Along with experience in the operation of heavy machinery including front-end loaders and
graders, HR or HC licence endorsement would be an advantage
A refurbished two-bedroom cottage is available to the successful applicant, and flexible employment
can be made available to a partner if required.
Competitive salary with board and keep included will be offered based on experience, and salary is
